This book and its sequel, My Mum Drives a Bus, were both devised and printed by the Malinslee Book Group. ‘We decided to do a children’s book that was a realistic picture of life today, such as collecting family allowance and picking up the older children from school. The father of the family works as a car mechanic. That’s why he’s not there in the morning but can bathe the children at night’.
The TCA workers on this project were Cathy Mackerras and Graham Peet
