The Malinslee Residents Float Group came together to design and construct a float for the 1978 Dawley Carnival. Two houses were built, one based on an old Dawley House and the other on a Telford new property. Between the two was a friendship bridge, under which trolls of prejudice, suspicion and gossip lurked!
Among other Carnival Floats were the Street Action’s Split families and the Allotment Campaign’s 27ft Marrow.
